Test measurement using the ALV-Fiber Optical Beam Splitter, two ALV-High Q.E. APDs and the ALV-6010-160 Multiple Tau Correlator
The above was a DWS measurement on a highly concentrated latex sample. The scattering angle was roughly 90° (which is unusual for DWS, but this measurement was taken to demonstrate the detector capabilities and not to do physics). The count rate was 200 kHz per channel, the fastest fluctuation time was in the order of 1 µs, the measurement duration 1000 s. Please keep in mind that using just a single
detector and auto correlation mode, the entire lag time regime from 6.25 ns ... approx. 1 µs would have been severely distorted by afterpulsing and dead time effects.
